Only 8.3% of homes on the market in the Seattle area are affordable to households earning the region's median income of $113,500, a Bankrate analysis finds.
The big picture: Nationally, 23.5% of homes are affordable to median-income households — a far higher share than in Seattle, but still a tough picture.
