Three new spots from James Beard award-winning chef Renee Erickson are set to open in Pioneer Square in the coming days.
The big picture: The trio is part of a wave of recent business openings that have helped rejuvenate Seattle's oldest neighborhood.
State of play: Lowlander Brewing, a beer hall that can seat about 100 people, and Un Po Tipsy, an adjacent pizza joint, are scheduled to open at 11am Sunday.
- They're part of the RailSpur development, occupying the corner of Occidental Avenue and King Street.
- Then, on Friday, Dec. 19, My Oh My will open in the same building, offering a more formal restaurant experience.
- All are part of the Sea Creatures restaurant group that Erickson co-owns, which also includes The Walrus and the Carpenter, Lioness, and General Porpoise doughnuts.
What they're saying: Lowlander will pour beer straight from its brewing tanks into patrons' glasses, with a menu that will include housemade sausages, fries and salads, a press release says.
- Next door, Un Po Tipsy will serve New York-style pizza by the slice, along with draft cocktails.
- My Oh My, a 32-seat space, will "celebrate the best of the Pacific Northwest," serving dishes including steaks, pasta, shellfish, and seasonal vegetables, according to its promoters.
