Finding pizza by the slice isn't always simple in Seattle — particularly at lunch time.
- That's why I'm a big fan of Tivoli in Fremont, where you can snag slices (along with a range of other items) for a midday meal.
What to expect: Tivoli's thin sourdough crust is both crisp and chewy, making for a satisfying bite.
- The white pie with sausage and fennel has been my favorite so far, but the pizzeria also offers pepperoni, pesto, plain cheese, and kale and mushroom options at lunchtime.
Between the lines: Other dishes on the menu are also worth raving about, including a satisfying ribollita (Tuscan stew made of beans, vegetables and bread).
- Many reviewers praise the Caesar salad — I've yet to try it, having been more focused on carbs and drinks during my recent visits. (One day, though, I'll get there.)
Stop by: 11:30am to 9pm Monday through Friday; 5pm-9pm Saturday and Sunday.
