The Seattle Seahawks' vaunted defense put a beatdown on the free-falling Minnesota Vikings Sunday, dominating 26-0.
Why it matters: It was the Hawks' first shutout victory since the team beat Chicago in 2015, per the Associated Press.
State of play: Sam Darnold and the rest of the offense was quiet, but didn't need much to secure yet another W and a tie for first with the Rams in the NFC West.
😭 (Sad) Editor's note: I'm a longtime fan of those free-falling Vikings. We miss Darnold.
And I still haven't forgiven the Seahawks for the subzero playoff heartbreaker of 2016, featuring Vikings kicker Blair Walsh biffing a 27-yard field goal with 26 seconds left.
