Backup goaliePhilipp Grubauer came off the bench and delivered, stopping all 19 shots he faced, as the Kraken routed the San Jose Sharks 4-1 Saturday night.
State of play: Grubauer replaced injured starter Matt Murray late in the first period and steadied Seattle until goals from Jaden Schwartz, Adam Larsson and Eeli Tolvanen broke the game open.
The Kraken's 9-4-5 record marks the strongest start to a season in franchise history, per NHL.com.
What we're watching: Whether the Kraken can build on their momentum as they hit the road for four games.
