The Mariners are just one win away from their first American League Championship Series since 2001, after crushing the Tigers 8β4 in Game 3 last night in Detroit.
State of play: After a three-hour rain delay, Logan Gilbert came out sharp: six innings, seven strikeouts, one run on four hits and no walks.
Cal Raleigh hit a two-run homer β his 61st of the year β and the ball was caught by a fan who on the spot peeled off a "61" shirt and swapped to "62."
Eugenio SuΓ‘rez launched his 50th home run of the season.
Victor Robles doubled to lead off the third, setting up the Mariners' first run of the night.
What we're watching: Whether Seattle clinches the ALDS in Game 4 in Detroit this afternoon or the Tigers force a fifth game in Seattle on Friday.
