The Mariners are just one win away from their first American League Championship Series since 2001, after crushing the Tigers 8–4 in Game 3 last night in Detroit.
State of play: After a three-hour rain delay, Logan Gilbert came out sharp: six innings, seven strikeouts, one run on four hits and no walks.
Cal Raleigh hit a two-run homer — his 61st of the year — and the ball was caught by a fan who on the spot peeled off a "61" shirt and swapped to "62."
Eugenio Suárez launched his 50th home run of the season.
Victor Robles doubled to lead off the third, setting up the Mariners' first run of the night.
