👋 Melissa here, writing from Zeitgeist Coffee on Jackson Street — one of my go-to spots when I'm craving a little old-school Seattle.
The vibe: For me, Zeitgeist channels the city's pre-tech era — scrappy, creative, full of possibility. It reminds me of other longtime favorites like Café Allegro in the U District and the original Victrola on 15th Avenue East.
Flashback: Remember the Java Stop in the 1992 movie "Singles"? It was fictional, but the feel was real — and some Seattle cafés still have it.
Your turn: Which spots bring back that raw, '90s-era Seattle energy for you? Hit reply or email us — we may feature your favorites in a roundup of classic Seattle cafés.
