The Seattle Seahawks have an especially young roster this year, with only seven players over 30.
- Only five of the NFL's 32 teams have fewer players in their thirties.
Zoom in: At the start of the season, the average age for a Seahawks player was just under 26 — the fourth-youngest in the league.
The big picture: The last four Super Bowl–winning teams had an average age of approximately 27, according to the NFL.
- Only five players on the 2024-2025 Philadelphia Eagles roster were 30 or older.
Yes, but: The oldest champions in the last five years were the 2020-2021 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by a 43-year old Tom Brady.
- That team's average age was 28 and the roster had 14 players north of 30.
What's next: The Hawks travel to Arizona to play the Cardinals this week, with kickoff at 5:15pm Thursday.
