Where to see the Blue Angels in Seattle

Whether you love their aerial acrobatics or loathe their deafening roar, the Blue Angels are back, heralding the big finale to Seattle's 75-year-old festival.

Why it matters: For many Seattleites, Seafair Weekend at Genesee Park on Lake Washington marks the height of summer: a loud, crowded, ritual of jets, hydroplanes, coolers and camp chairs.

What's happening: The Blue Angels will close each day of the Boeing Seafair Air Show around 3:35pm, following a showcase by stunt and military aircraft, including the F-35B Lightning II, C-17 Globemaster and a Coast Guard rescue demo.

General admission is free Friday, but costs $20–$100 on Saturday and Sunday.

What else is happening: If the jets don't grab you, maybe the boats or battleships will.

🛥️ The Apollo Mechanical Cup Hyroplane Races (formerly the Seafair Cup) run alongside the air show on Lake Washington all weekend.

Hydroplanes hit the water Friday, with championship heats on Sunday.
Pit passes can be purchased for $15.

⚓ Fleet Week is also underway, with Navy and Coast Guard ships open for free public tours at Pier 46 on the Seattle waterfront through Sunday.
