The time-honoredTorchlight Parade headlines a packed weekend of food, music, and festivities across Seattle.
State of play: The parade — a longtime summer tradition — will light up the downtown waterfront tomorrow night, drawing an expected 300,000 people with illuminated floats, marching bands, cultural performers and the Seafair Pirates.
The parade is free and starts at 7:30pm. Reserved seating can be purchased.
Get there early to snag a better spot and watch the neon-themed Torchlight Run, which begins at 6pm.
If you go: Leave early or take transit — major road closures and construction projects are expected to snarl traffic throughout the region.
