Washington's legal challenges against the Trump administration continue to mount.
The latest: This week, Washington joined a coalition of two dozen states in suing the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services "for abruptly and illegally terminating $11 billion in critical public health grants," according to a news release.
The lawsuit, which Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown joined on Tuesday, also names HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as a defendant.
The big picture: All told,Washington state has sued eight times since January to try to block federal policies during President Trump's second term.
Washington is the lead plaintiff in two cases. The rest are multistate lawsuits Washington has joined.
