Lunar New Year Fair

🐍 Celebrate the Year of the Snake with family-friendly art activities, a free outdoor Lion Dance, and indoor crafts and calligraphy at the Wing Luke Museum. $5-17; kids under 5 are free. 10am-3pm.
Social Justice Week

⚖️ A week of events focusing on civil rights and social justice at Seattle community colleges, including a free celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. from 9:30am-2pm onJan. 17.

- Northwest African American Museum: Interactive exhibits and story telling, live music and motivational speakers from 10am-5pm.
- Painting the Town Red: A Billie Holiday tribute concert at The Royal Room, presented by South Hudson Music Project. 7:30pm. You may want to make a dinner reservation to make sure you get a seat.
Tet in Seattle
Jan. 25-26
🐲 Experience Tet in Seattle, a two-day celebration of the Vietnamese new year at Seattle Center, featuring art, music, fashion and food unique to Vietnam. The festivities will also include lion dances and an ao dai fashion show. Free.
