Sea lion lovers have chosen a name for the nearly two-month-old pup at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma.
State of play: Pepper beat out the other options — Rosa, Nori and Marnie — with 31% of the vote, according to the zoo.
Pepper is the first sea lion born in the zoo's 119-year history.
She's nursing, growing, moving, talking and getting swimming lessons from her mom, Eloise, per the zoo.
Catch up quick: Eloise and Pepper's dad, Boomer, both arrived at Point Defiance in July 2019 after being rescued, respectively, from La Jolla Cove Beach and the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge at Imperial Beach in California.
