The Seattle Storm beat Chicago 84-71 despite a history-making performance by Sky rookie Angel Reese.
State of play: Just 20 games into her WNBA career, Reese secured her 13th consecutive double-double yesterday at Climate Pledge Arena, setting the WNBA record for the most consecutive double-doubles by any player.
Why it matters: Reese and the Fever's Caitlin Clark, who became the first rookie in league history to produce a triple-double on Saturday, are both contenders for the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year Award, according to Athlon Sports.
By the numbers: The Storm's Nneka Ogwumike scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
Jewell Loyd scored 20 points.
Ezi Magbegor added 13 points and snatched 13 rebounds.
Skylar Diggins-Smith had 15 points and eight assists and became the 34th player in WNBA history to score 4,500 points or more, per the Seattle Times.
