Blitz is the NFL's most "forgettable" mascot

The Seattle Seahawks' feathered friend has sadly been named the most forgettable mascot in the NFL, according to a sports betting site's new survey.

What they did: Using results from the quiz website Sporcle, OLBG analyzed the recall of mascots across the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and the U.K.'s Premier League.

What they found: Only 45% of those who tried to identify mascots from a video knew Blitz, the survey found.

• The Cleveland Browns' Chomps was the next most forgettable NFL mascot, with 48% able to remember the furry Labrador.
• 88% of those quizzed knew the Las Vegas Raiders' Raider Rusher, a futuristic space character from a cartoon.

Among all the teams included in the quiz, Swansea City's Cyril the Swan was the best-known mascot and Sluggerrr of the Kansas City Royals was the most forgotten, with only 38% able to remember the "King of the Jungle."

• Among this larger pool, Blitz was listed as the fifth most forgettable mascot.
