The Mariners won two out of three games against the Colorado Rockies on Saturday and Sunday.

Why it matters: The wins put the Seattle team in second place in the American League West standings with 11-11 for the season, behind the Texas Rangers, 12-11.

  • The Mariners shut out the Rockies (7-0) on Saturday, lost the first of a double-header on Sunday, (2-1) then came back to win the third in the series (10-2).
