Buying a starter home in San Antonio is easier now than it was a year ago.
By the numbers: 86.7% of San Antonio metro starter-home listings are affordable for middle-income households, according to a Redfin analysis.
The big picture: Local house shoppers last August needed a $71,000 annual income, down 4.3% from a year earlier, to afford the metro area's typical starter home — which cost $202,000, per Redfin.
