A new mural will soon decorate the 9th & 9th whale.
Driving the news: Salt Lake-based artist Jiyoun Lee-Lodge submitted the winning mural proposal to city arts officials, who announced their choice during 801 Day festivities Saturday.
What's next: Look for the new art in coming months as the statue, formally named "Out of the Blue," gets its facelift.
