Lindsey Vonn to race in Olympics despite torn ACL

Catch up quick: Vonn had retired in 2019 due to repeated injuries but resumed competition after a knee replacement surgery in 2024. That knee, her right, was not injured.

Caveat: Sunday's women's downhill event will serve as a test, Vonn said.

• "If it's stable and I feel confident I'll continue to race," she said. "That is my goal, obviously, but I can't tell you that answer until I actually ski 85 miles an hour."
