Utahns join anti-ICE protests, strike and boycott

Utahns are joining activists nationwide in a general strike and corporate boycott on Friday to protest ICE's aggressive enforcement tactics.

Pro tip: Several businesses have announced they will not open Friday; so, if you plan on running errands, check the social media account for your destination.

Meanwhile, participants in the "National Shutdown" are attending demonstrations around northern Utah.

Here's what's planned:

Salt Lake City: 2pm protest Friday at Washington Square outside city hall.

Ogden: 3pm rally Friday at Ogden Park.

Another protest is set for noon Saturday at the Ogden Municipal Building.
A rally is planned in nearby Riverdale at 3pm Saturday.

Logan: 4pm vigil Friday at the Cache County courthouse.

Price: Protest noon Saturday at the courthouse.
