SLC weekend events: Halloween parties, balls and more

Oh, so many spooky things to do this weekend.

🎃 Free family and teen Halloween parties and festivals are being hosted by Cottonwood Heights City, Viridian Event Center, Holladay City, Midvale City, Salt Lake City, Shops at South Town, Pia Okwai Nature Center (Friday Boo Bash and Saturday kids day) and county rec centers in Midvale, Holladay and Glendale.

🕯️ Bring a photo of a departed loved one to The Post District's Día de los Muertos celebration 6pm-9pm Saturday at 556 Gale Street. Register.

🪩 Dance the night away at the Thrillers Ball, the Get Freaky music festival, Nightmare on State Street Latin dance social, Quarters Arcade's Zombie Prom and UMOCA's Moth Ball.

👩‍🎨 The Museum of Illusions is offering complimentary face-painting for visitors by a local artist noon-2pm Saturday and Sunday along with its kid-friendly seasonal displays at the immersive exhibit. Tickets.
