A growing field of "pumpkin concierges" will deliver and decoratively assemble gourds and other seasonal goodies, but it'll cost a pretty penny.
The big picture: Professional porch decorating is becoming big business across the country, including in Utah, where residents are known to splurge on Halloween decorations.
How it works: Packages range from eye-catching clusters — with add-ons like hay bales and cornstalks — to abundant displays that cascade down a home's entryway.
- Some businesses even offer to dispose of the pumpkins after Halloween or Thanksgiving for a fee.
Zoom in: In Salt Lake City, Heather Walker says her concierge pumpkin service, Pumpkin Style, which launched last year, offers flair and sustainability.
- The decor is sourced locally, fashioned into Instagram-worthy displays, then donated back to the community or farms for reuse.
- Walker tells Axios she sees the most interest in her services from residents in Lehi and Alpine in Utah County.
By the numbers: Her porch packages range from $239 to nearly $1,200.
- Already, her sales have doubled this year compared with 2024.
- Orders for the first week of October are almost sold out, she says, while sales for the following weeks remain steady.

Follow the money: There's plenty of cash on the vine.
- One entrepreneur told Business Insider that her Texas-based porch pumpkin business draws six figures and that she's starting to franchise.
Between the lines: The porch pumpkin trend looks like the latest evolution of outsourcing holiday chores like installing festive lights, decorating trees and wrapping gifts.
Yes, but: Most people aren't splurging on luxury fall decor.
- In 2024, Halloween shoppers spent an average of $33.57 on decorations — just shy of the previous year's record, according to the National Retail Federation.
The bottom line: You can buy curb appeal this fall without visiting a pumpkin patch.
