"Mormon Wives'" Taylor Frankie Paul is the next "Bachelorette"

Taylor Frankie Paul is joining Bachelor Nation.

State of play: "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" standout will be the face of "The Bachelorette's" upcoming, 22nd season.

Paul revealed the reality TV mashup on the tea-spilling "Call Her Daddy" podcast released Wednesday.

The big picture: The casting decision is expected to renew interest in what's been called a tired franchise that's recently struggled to maintain viewership, cast ill-fitting stars and encountered accusations of racism.

In contrast, "Mormon Wives" is a cultural hit after just three seasons, whose personalities and trends dominate social media algorithms.

What's next: The new season of "The Bachelorette" is expected to premiere in 2026.
