Alex Warren tops SLC's Spotify summer soundtrack

Alex Warren's "Ordinary" was the top song this summer for Spotify users in Salt Lake City.

The big picture: According to Spotify data, summer 2025 was the least danceable and lowest-energy summer for music, based on the tempos, rhythm stability, beat strength, and overall regularity of its top tracks.

What they're saying: Listeners "swapped carefree anthems for songs that felt personal, vulnerable, and emotionally charged — both lyrically and sonically," the platform announced.

How it works: Spotify's editors handpicked a list of tracks based on streaming data, cultural impact and editorial insight that "collectively defined the season across the Northern Hemisphere."

The audio streaming service shared market-level data exclusively with Axios.
