Utah Jazz overhaul continues with Collins trade to Clippers

The Utah Jazz are trading John Collins to the Los Angeles Clippers in a three-team deal with the Miami Heat, ESPN first reported Monday.

Why it matters: Utah continues to shake up its roster after ending last season with a franchise-worst 17–65 record.

State of play: The Jazz will receive Kyle Anderson and Kevin Love from the Heat, plus a 2027 second-round pick from the Clippers. The Clippers will send Norman Powell to Miami, per ESPN.

Last month, Utah traded Collin Sexton and bought Jordan Clarkson out of his contract, making him a free agent.

By the numbers: At 31 years old, Anderson would be among the oldest players on the team, according to Sports Illustrated.

What's next: The NBA must approve the trade before rosters are finalized.
