Utah Jazz to bring basketball courts to Utah County

The Utah Jazz are opening two basketball courts in Orem and Springville.

The big picture: The new courts are part of the NBA team's Community Courts initiative, a program aimed at rehabilitating and building basketball courts in local communities.

State of play: The Orem court is set to open Tuesday in Windsor Park. The one in Springville's Memorial Park will open later this summer.

Zoom in: Community members can fill out an online application for the program.

Priority is given to projects that assist underserved communities and address community health and educational needs.
