Dangerous Pretzel delivers sweet, savory twists

Next time you're in the Granary District, don't miss Dangerous Pretzel.

State of play: The shop, which opened in January, serves large, hand-rolled pretzels in savory and sweet flavors.

Located at 352 W. 600 South, it also features an extensive drink menu, with draft, canned and bottled beer; cider and zero-proof beer and sodas.
Customers can see the pretzels being rolled and baked through the kitchen's large windows.

What I tried: The BBK (Brush Before Kissing) pretzel ($6) is made with parmesan, garlic and herbs and a side of marinara dip ($2).

The doughy twist was warm, soft and zesty and paired nicely with the seasoned tomato sauce.

The bottom line: I've never cared for pretzels before, but I'm craving my next one.

Hours: 11am-8pm Tuesday-Thursday; 11am-10pm Friday-Saturday; 11am-5pm Sunday
