Bite of the week: Saffron Valley's lunch buffet is worth indulging

I revisited Saffron Valley after its founder Lavanya Mahate was named a James Beard Award semifinalist for outstanding restaurateur earlier in January.

State of play: I recently went to their Sugar House location to try their lunch buffet, indulging in their scrumptious butter chicken, warm naan and crispy veggie pakora.

This was my first time at a buffet since the COVID-19 pandemic and it featured various Indian curries and appetizers.

The bottom line: While I prefer quality over quantity, Saffron Valley managed to deliver both.

Hours: The buffet is available 11am-2:30pm Tuesday-Friday for $18.99 and 11am-3:30pm Saturday-Sunday for $20.99.
