To say the start of the NBA season has been unkind to Utah might be an understatement.
State of play: At 2-7, the Jazz have the worst record in the Western Conference.
Here are some of the numbers that have defined their slow start to the season:
0: The number of wins Utah has at the Delta Center. The Jazz's two wins have each come on the road against the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs.
Utah went 20-21 at home last season.
13.9: The Jazz are being outscored by about 14 points per game through their first nine. They lost by 41 to the Golden State Warriors, 26 against the Denver Nuggets and 23 against the Milwaukee Bucks.
They ended last season with a -4.8 point differential.
118.9: That's how many points per game Utah is allowing. It's the highest mark in the West.
105: The Jazz are averaging the NBA's fewest points per game.
73: The number of games left on the Jazz's schedule meaning there is still plenty of time to turn the season around and make a postseason push.
What's next: Utah hosts the sizzling Phoenix Suns tonight at 7.
