SLC weekend events: Halloween bar crawl, Get Freaky festival

🎧 Get Freaky: This 18 and older festival is returning to the Utah State Fairpark, featuring dance beats and various musical acts.

• When: 4pm-11pm Friday-Saturday; 4pm-10pm Sunday
• Admission: $85 for GA, single-day tickets

😱 Tower of Terror: Rewatch or discover classic horror movies for the last weekend of Salt Lake Film Society's annual horror movie series at Broadway Centre Cinemas.

• When: Watch "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974) on Friday at 7pm or 9:30pm or "The Shining" on Saturday at 7pm or 9pm
• Admission: $15 per ticket

🍵 Witches and wizards tea party: Spend your morning participating in a scavenger hunt or at a charms and potions class at the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum.

When: 9am-noon Saturday

Admission: $20 per person

🧙‍♀️ Costume contest: Compete in a family costume contest for prizes or take your kid to decorate ceramic pumpkins or trick-or-treat bags at the Layton Hills Mall.

• When: Noon-3pm Saturday. Register for the contest by 1pm.
• Admission: Free

🍹 Halloween bar crawl: The 7th annual bar-hopping event will include stops at Twist Bar & Bistro, London Belle, Why Kiki and Boomerang Bar, and end in an after party. Costumes are encouraged.

• Admission: Tickets start at $25
