There's tons to do in and around Salt Lake this weekend, with free festivals, new outdoors films and several celebrations of beer.
🏔️ Wasatch Mountain Film Festival: Take in four days of outdoor documentaries featuring world-class athletes, stunning landscapes and critical environmental issues.
- When and where: Thursday-Sunday, Westminster Performing Arts Center
- Cost: $100 for the festival or $19.95 for individual screenings.
🎈Hot Air Balloon Palooza: Get up close and personal with the balloons and bask in the "night glow" with a vendor market and food trucks at Cottonwood High School.
- When: Launches scheduled for 7am Friday, Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting; Night Glow starts 5pm Saturday
- Admission: Free; parking fee $5
✒️ Tattoo Expo: Get inked by a touring coterie of body artists specializing in tattoos, piercings and other body modifications — plus live entertainment. See artist lineup online.
- When and where: Friday-Sunday, Mountain America Credit Union in Sandy
- Tickets: $25 per day or $70 for the weekend
🥳 9th and 9th Street Festival: Music, food, vendors, kids' activities and a bike rodeo fill the intersection for the annual party.
- When: 10am-6pm Saturday
- Admission: Free
🍊Marmalade Jam Fest: Live entertainment, vendors and food trucks will fill the day at Marmalade Library.
- When and where: 10am Saturday, 280 W. 500 North
- Admission: Free
🍁 Taylorsville Fall Festival: Games, pumpkin decorating, booths, photo-ops and a pie-eating contest fill the Taylorsville-Bennion Heritage Center.
- When: 10am-1pm Saturday
- Admission: Free
🌍 Afro Utah Festival: Come to Library Square for performances, workshops and food highlighting Utah's Black communities.
- When: Noon Saturday

🍻 Beer fun: Check out these brewery events.
- Bike along the Jordan River before grabbing a cold one from Fisher Brewing Company at an all-ages beer garden at Fisher Mansion. Noon-8pm Saturday and Sunday
- Bewilder Oktoberfest celebrates fall with German food and beer. 11am-10pm Saturday, 21+
- Kiitos Brewing is celebrating its 7th birthday with new brews, food trucks and an art market. 3pm-9pm Saturday, 21+
