Utah's national parks spurred nearly $2 billion in visitor spending last year, according to a new report. That's up about 15% from 2022.

The big picture: Utah ranked third in 2023 economic activity behind California ($3.2 billion) and North Carolina ($2.6 billion).
By the numbers: Almost 16 million visitors traveled to Utah national parks in 2023 — about two million more than the year before.
The bottom line: Overall, about 325.5 million visitors spent about $26 billion across U.S. national parks.
