A festival's worth of music at the Utah State Fair

In the arena

Four concerts will grace the main stage:

• Las Bandas Mas Grandes Del Mundo tour features five hit regional Mexican acts: Banda El Recodo, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, Banda Machos, Banda Maguey and Rancho Barriga. Sunday, 4pm-9pm; tickets $88.89, or $20 for kids ages 6-12
• John Fogerty with Hearty Har, 7pm Wednesday; tickets $68.50-$109.50.
• Dustin Lynch with Avery Anna, 7pm Thursday, Sept. 12; tickets $43-$109.50.
• The All-American Rejects with Utah-based Neon Trees, 7pm Friday, Sept. 13; tickets $43-$114.50.

Dozens of Utah bands and solo artists are on the schedule. Here are some to check out:

• DB Magnum, with multiple storytelling and music shows at the fair's new folksy Pickin' Porch
• Chi Chi Le Mot, blues rock, 6pm Friday
• Teen rock stars who won the Utah PTA's Battle of the bands, 11am-3pm Saturday
• Johnny Tightlips, punk, 7:30pm Saturday
• Makaria, pop, 3pm Sunday
• The Gina Marie Osmond Band, featuring a granddaughter of the famous musical family, 8:30pm Sunday
• The Sock Hop, 1950s pop, 2:30pm Tuesday
• Jana and the Rebels, country, 8:30pm Wednesday

• Murphy and the Giant, Irish-inspired folk-rock, 9:30pm Friday, Sept. 13

The fine print: Fair admission costs $15 for adults and teens, $10 for seniors and kids 6-12, $60 for the full 10 days, and free for kids under age 6.
