Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson tore up a record-breaking Salt Lake crowd on Friday, calling them "inbreds" and mocking Utah's history with polygamy at the WWE Smackdown at the Delta Center.

What they're saying: "You broke the all time record for the largest gathering of trailer park trash The Rock has ever seen," Johnson told the 11,000-plus fans — the biggest indoor wrestling crowd in Utah history, he noted.

  • "Finally your life has meaning," he said. "Finally, you and your 50 wives will have a story to tell. You'll have a story to tell your 600 inbred grandchildren one day, and that is what it's like to look at greatness in the flesh because finally, The Rock has come to Salt Lake City!"

Reality check: The Utah roast was part of The Rock's "heel" persona — i.e. a villainous character in wrestling.

Ouch: He also reminisced on the 1998 NBA finals, when the Chicago Bulls defeated the Utah Jazz.

Yes, but: The Jazz "took the beating like men," he acknowledged.
