The Marmalade District in Salt Lake City welcomed a new art installation of an apricot that acknowledges the neighborhood's history with fruit-bearing trees.
Context: The Marmalade District — one of the oldest neighborhoods in the state — is home to streets named after fruit trees planted by some of the first pioneer settlers in the area, per Visit Salt Lake.
The fruits were made into marmalade and sold locally.
