Live Nation's $30 summer concert deal is back, the company announced this week.
Why it matters: Locals can score cheap tickets to more than 4,000 shows in the U.S. and Canada, including some at Richmond's Allianz Amphitheater.
State of play: This is the second year the live music behemoth is running its $30 summer concert promo, which offers (comparatively) dirt cheap tix to shows from select artists.
- This year's participating artists include Young the Giant, Khalid, Mt. Joy and Goo Goo Dolls, all on tap to play Richmond this summer.
How it works: Starting Wednesday, April 29, and through May 5, concertgoers can visit LiveNation.com/SummerofLive to see the full list of participating shows and artists.
- Just make sure the show is tagged "Summer of Live Promotion," per a news release.
- And a bonus: Tickets purchased through the offer include all the fees, so $30 means $30, according to Live Nation.
Yes, but: You don't have to wait until Wednesday to score the deal.
- Members of Live Nation's free All Access program can buy tickets now. Just sign up if you're not a member.
- T-Mobile customers can also get early access to the sale starting Tuesday at 10am.
If $30 is too expensive, Allianz has no plans to stop or block folks from taking in a free show by posting up on the nearby hills, spokesperson Matt Rogers tells Axios.
ICYMI: Allianz is heading into its second season with some upgrades, including air-conditioned bathrooms, reduced lawn capacity and new nearby parking options.
- The parking is at 500 Spring St. and 500 E. Canal St. and pre-pay-only, which will run you $30-$40, depending on the show.
Zoom out: The summer promo is also running for select shows at Live Nation's other Virginia venues, including:
- Portsmouth Pavilion in Portsmouth.
- Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater and The Dome in Virginia Beach.
- Jiffy Lube Live in Northern Virginia.
Artists from those lineups that are part of the promo include Wu-Tang Clan, TLC, Iron Maiden, The Pussycat Dolls and Tim McGraw.
