Allianz Amphitheater opens season two with upgrades

Driving the news: Concert goers will now enjoy air-conditioned bathrooms and reduced lawn capacity, WTVR reports.

• Sweltering bathrooms and over-crowding on the lawn were two gripes frequently mentioned by attendees in the feedback the venue collected last year.
• For its inaugural season, the lawn would allow roughly 4,000 people — more than half the seating for the 7,500-seat venue.
• A spokesperson for Allianz declined to tell WTVR what the new capacity would be, only that it's less.

Allianz is also expanding on-site parking this year, adding more local brews to its beverage offerings and making the artists' space bigger to attract major touring acts.

Fun fact: Last year, nearly 200,000 people attended Allianz's 30+ shows, per WTVR.

• More than half of those came from out of town.

What's next: Allianz's season two lineup includes Sting, Caamp, Khalid, Mt. Joy and Chris Stapleton.
