Richmond's first Sweetgreen will open in March

Catch up quick: Sweetgreen announced the Carytown location, its first Richmond location among its more than 240 in the country, last summer.

• The fast casual spot is in the Carytown Exchange shopping center where other national food chains have recently opened, including Burton's Grill, Torchy's Tacos and Jeni's.

If you can't wait for the 18th, Sweetgreen is hosting a pre-opening community event on March 14 and 15.

• Locals who want in can sign up for the mailing list to get an invite to the preview.

Worth noting: Sweetgreen will donate a meal to Feed More for every one purchased at the Richmond store on its official opening date.
