Standard Beer + Food's second location is now open in north Raleigh.

Why it matters: The large standalone restaurant is helping anchor the buzzy North Hills Innovation District, part of Raleigh's growing second skyline.

State of play: A thoughtfully maintained creek at the heart of NHID helps the mixed-use development stand out.

Standard's outdoor tables are near the pedestrian bridges crossing the stream. Inside, there's a full bar and 150-seat dining room.

If you go: The new location is open for dinner daily, and serves lunch Friday through Sunday. It takes reservations.
