Hoffman & Associates, the D.C.-based developer behind the massive Seaboard Station development, is starting construction on its latest expansion of its main Raleigh project.
Why it matters: Seaboard Station has become a destination for new restaurants since its first phase opened in 2023.
The entire project has already added three new apartment buildings, a hotel and dozens of new retailers and restaurants to the north side of downtown Raleigh near William Peace University.
Driving the news: The latest phase of construction is a renovation of an existing building at 802 Semart Dr., currently home to an Ace Hardware and several other tenants.
The Swing Bays, an indoor golf facility, will take over the former O2 Fitness space, Hoffman said.
Zoom in: The plan is to renovate around 20,000 square feet of the 802 Semart Dr. building's retail space.
That's not the only renovation happening at Seaboard. The Common Market and Pizzeria Toro plan to open in an adjacent building later this year.
