Savannah Bananas are coming to Chapel Hill

State of play: The Bananas will face the Texas Tailgaters, one of six Banana Ball teams.

What's next: Fans can sign up for the Banana Ball Ticket Lottery through Oct. 31 for a chance to buy tickets. Game times are TBA.

Flashback: The Bananas played in Durham Bulls Athletic Park in 2024, which holds a fraction of Kenan Stadium's 53,480.

Zoom out: Banana Ball is expanding to more football stadiums. Earlier this year, the Bananas had a two-night stint at a packed Bank of America Stadium.

• The games drew more than 1480,000 fans to the NFL stadium, which holds roughly 74,000 people. Around 54,000 of those fans traveled from outside the Charlotte region, according to the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. The games also generated $38.6 million in economic impact, per CRVA.
