Savannah Bananas are the hottest ticket in Charlotte

By the numbers: Tickets cost up to $65, which doesn't include what the team calls VIB or Very Important Banana.

Between the lines: The Bananas are known for selling out venues, but this is the first time they're taking Banana Ball to football stadiums.

• In March, they played at a sold-out Raymond James Stadium (home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) in front of 65,000 fans, per the team. Tickets sold out within five hours, which a team spokesperson says is typical.

The remaining football stadiums all sold out too:

• April 26: Clemson sold 81,000 tickets in approximately three hours.
• May 10: The Tennessee Titans' Nissan Stadium in Nashville sold 69,000 tickets in roughly four hours.
• June 6-7: Bank of America Stadium (home of the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC) sold approximately 74,000 tickets for each night in about five hours.

Context: Ticket access was based on the Banana Ball Ticket Lottery, which closed last fall. A drawing occurred roughly two months before the event. If you were selected, you were assigned a time to have a chance to purchase tickets.

• Tickets are sold through the team's platform, Fans First Tickets.
• In Charlotte, tickets start at $113 on StubHub, at $171 on Vivid Seats and $156 on SeatGeek and cost hundreds of dollars on all three platforms.
