Raleigh is getting a new music venue at the under-construction Salvage Yard development, which is part of Raleigh Iron Works.

Driving the news: Cannonball Music Hall is set to open late next year, Grubb Ventures, the developer behind Raleigh Iron Works, said.

  • It will include a music venue and practice space for bands.
  • Cannonball's co-owner Cassie Frye said in a statement that she wants Cannonball to become a launchpad for local musicians.

Details: Cannonball will occupy a space around 2,800 square feet in size and its venue could hold around 200 people, a spokesperson for Grubb Ventures said.

Zoom out: Salvage Yard's roster of tenants also includes No Company, a taproom owned by the folks behind Bond Brothers Beer Co.; Triangle Rock Club and a pickleball bar from Jaguar Bolera.
