The hits keep coming for the Ducks. The team announced this week that star quarterback Dante Moore is unlikely to play again this season.

Why it matters: The Ducks entered the season ranked No. 2 in the country before Moore suffered a brutal concussion on a late hit against the University of Southern California on Sept. 26, the fourth game of the season.

They went on to beat USC, but have since gone on a three-game skid with losses to UCLA, Nebraska and Illinois, essentially ending any hope the team had for a playoff berth.
Over the weekend, the team fired offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer.

What's next: Oregon will face off against the No. 20 Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday at 12:30pm in Eugene.
