I-5 closure gets a shrug from drivers, so far

I spent a couple hours talking to folks at gas stations and MAX stops, and the closure was met mostly by a collective shrug.

• People were either avoiding the freeway altogether, as recommended, or not encountering the traffic that was forecast to double or triple travel times.

Yes, but: "We want to just remind folks to not get too comfortable," an ODOT spokesperson told OPB, warning that commutes could still get bad during the closure.
