Next Adventure, the outdoors store that was slated for closure before an investment group stepped in to buy it, will remain under its original ownership.
Why it matters: It's one of the few homegrown retailers of camping, climbing and snow gear in town.
Driving the news: The store's founders — Deek Heykamp and Bryan Knudsen — told KOIN that they decided to reverse their decision to retire after the deal with the investment group fell through.
What they're saying: "During this process, Bryan and I realized how important it is to keep Next Adventure going for the outdoor community, our staff and our city," Heykamp said in a statement to KOIN.
If you go: Next Adventure will continue on with its current business model, including it's great bargain basement, for the foreseeable future at 426 Southeast Grand Avenue.
