Driving the news: The iconic Portland ice cream shop brought its food truck to Pod 28 earlier this month, just a two-block walk from its original spot on the corner of Burnside.
It's stocked with all the flavors, cones and pints that you'd find at its other two brick and mortars, too.
Owner Chad Draizinpreviously said he hopes to reopen the flagship location by next summer.
The pod was bumpin' even at 9pm on a Sunday. Photo: Meira Gebel/Axios
😳 I stopped by the truck on a recent Sunday at 9pm thinking there would no line, only to find it was about seven groups deep. But the two-person crew behind the counter was fast and friendly.
When I turned around with a cup of my favorite scoop — matcha mochi — the line had swelled again.
❤️ Safe to say, the neighborhood is happy they're back.
