One of his early stops was Yanni's, which specializes in Greek-style loukoumades — small, airy, chewy, deep-fried doughnuts.
He gave the Central Eastside food truck a rave review, and now after going myself, I can, too.
The doughnuts are made-to-order, so they're served hot and coated in one of three flavor options: the traditional honey and cinnamon, pistachio and chocolate or coconut and caramel.
A small ($5) comes with about a dozen bite-size loukoumades, which is big enough to share, but you won't want to.
If you go: Yanni's Greek Donuts (1400 SE 9th Ave.) is open Friday and Saturday from 11am to 9pm, and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.
