Don't miss Portland native Jinkx Monsoon and Seattle-based BenDeLaCreme on stage at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall later this month for a holiday celebration of queer comedy and cabaret.
State of play: The two drag queens will perform a variety of Christmas classics, original songs, skits and dance sequences with a side of political snark, camp theatrics and over-the-top costumes and set pieces.
Both Jinkx and DeLa rose to fame on "RuPaul's Drag Race" but grew up performing in dive bars and burlesque clubs around the Pacific Northwest.
What she's saying: "I have never believed more in comedy and its divine purpose than I do now," Jinkx told the Los Angeles Times recently, adding that the show's wacky script ventures into sci-fi, horror and niche pop culture references.
