Alchemy Cider, one of the few Portland-based cideries, has a new taproom that promises to keep things slightly spooky while you sip your fermented fruit.
Driving the news: The 2,800 square-foot space houses 30 taps and seating made from repurposed antique church pews.
Along with their six flagship ciders, the taproom will also offer rotating small-batch releases, six beers, kegged wines and NA options.
The vibe: The Alchemy team leaned into the witchy for its design, with an interior "drenched in black, gold and emerald, lending a dark mystical vibe to the space," per a company press release.
If you go: The taproom (818 SE Ankeny Street) is open 3-8pm Wednesdays and Thursdays, 3-10pm on Fridays and noon to 10pm on Saturdays.
The team hopes to be open daily soon, with plans for a food truck partnership in the works.
